I said that comments are welcome but I have a hard time leaving a comment on this blog when it is insulting. I know that there are many people who believe in all different things and there are many who do not like members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are entitled to your opinion, but I don't appreciate you insulting my beliefs.

I believe that people who feel hatred for this church do not understand it. I believe with all my heart that Jesus Christ died for everyone so that we could repent of our sins and return to Him and God. I know that God has a plan for all His children. He loves us all so much and wants nothing more than for all of us to return to Him and feel joy. He even designed a plan for us to be together with our families forever. Why would anyone reject that? I was married for time and all eternity, not until this life is over. God and Jesus have so much love for us all that we cannot comprehend it. I have faith that what I believe is true.

A great majority of my relatives are mormon. They are very family oriented and loving people. I admire them in many ways.

I am not a mormon and I feel that if I truly love my family....I should tell them the truth. This is where it gets very "sticky" because as much as I believe that the only source for truth is in the Bible.....they believe the Bible is not all truth and must be corrected by the Book of Mormon. The thing is.....we both are not correct. One of us is wrong! And whoever is wrong has all of eternity to pay for it. I'll just say that "we" all need to be sure "we" know the truth before we pass out into eternity.

My uncle passed away two years ago. He was a bishop in the mormon church. I have often wondered what he would say to his children if he could come back to earth.

I "lovingly" hope and pray that both you and I know the "truth" before we die.

Thank you, "Anonymous," for your comment. I agree with you that we should find the truth before we die. That is something that our church emphasizes. We need to find out for ourselves the truth. The only way that we can is through Heavenly Father. I know that he will answer our prayers and let us know the answers to our questions. It is something to do with real intent and with faith that he will answer. When you receive an answer there is no denying that it is from Him. I have prayed and waited and did a lot of studying to find out for myself that the church I go to is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is from God and along with the Bible, it testifies of Jesus Christ. I would encourage you to read the Book of Mormon with an open heart and pray to know of its truthfulness.

I also wholeheartedly believe in the doctrine taught by the LDS church. I have nothing but respect for people of other faiths. I don't find myself thinking of them going to hell or something awful happening to them in the afterlife. Our Heavenly Father is fair and merciful. I believe the actions and choices we make here in life are what we will be judged on. It makes me sad that anonymous, or anyone else would worry about me going to hell because I believe in the doctrine of my church. The God I believe in is not contentious and divisive. I don't feel the need to judge other's beliefs. I would like to instead worry about the life I am leading, and make sure I am doing all I can to perfect myself.

He Has A Plan

The pandemic of COVID-19 has wreaked havoc all over the world. My family is starting the fourth week since the state government put in force a Stay-At-Home order. We can only leave our homes if we have an "essential" job, if we need to buy essential items/food, or if we need to take care of someone. My five kids have gotten into a routine of waking up, doing school work, seminary work, reading, then free time. My husband is working from home and has multiple virtual calls throughout the day. It was a lot to get used to. Compared to many others, these changes have not been that hard on our family. Actually, most of the time I really enjoy everyone home. When they aren't using their limited electronic time, they have used their imaginations to think of creative things to do. Yes, I had to take one son to the ER last week because he fell and got a concussion, but we are truly very blessed. I know there are many that are suffering through this pandemic for many reasons.
